Compass is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the 2024 Brighter Minds Mental Health Bursary. This bursary, made possible through generous donations to Compass’ Charity Fund, is specifically designed to support youth with lived mental health experience who are enrolled in local post-secondary institutions. The bursary aims to reduce financial barriers and help recipients reach their full potential.

This year, Compass will award $2,500 each to two deserving local youth who meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Have lived mental health experience
  • Commit to growing mental health awareness during the bursary term

“We are committed to work with young people in our community to foster positive mental health and help them reach their full potential,” said Mark Fraser, Chief Executive Office at Compass. “The Brighter Minds Mental Health Bursary not only helps alleviate financial stress but also encourages recipients to advocate for mental health awareness, creating a positive impact within their community.”
